Fittings, Valves, Compressors – for regulation and control

Valves are multi-purpose devices that regulate or control the flow of liquids, gases or finely divided solids. One of the main functions of the valve is to partially or completely open or close passages. By means of valves, flow rates in a pipeline can be precisely metered and safely sealed against the environment. Together with fittings and compressors, valves are used in industries such as water and wastewater treatment, mining, power generation, plastics production, and the oil and gas industry. In our industrialized countries, valve technology shapes everyday areas of life such as sanitary facilities, gas controls, tap water, washing machines/dryers, heating and air conditioning systems.

The continuing progress in material design and development (e.g. through polymers and elastomers, as well as composite materials) is about to expand all areas of application and thus also the potential markets for screw connections, valves and compressors.
