Every two years, wire Düsseldorf is presenting wire and cable production, machinery and trade services as well as glass fibre technologies, mesh welding machines, fastening technologies and spring production from over 1,200 exhibitors on more than 60,000m² of exhibition space. Since 1986, decision-makers and key players have been using this global platform in the Düsseldorf exhibition halls as basis for their business. This biennial, leading international trade fair for its sectors is a must see for all industry participants.
With its current/future focus on fastening elements and springs, wire is responding to market requirements and closing the gap between machines, plants, raw materials and end products in 2020 with two newly designed independent exhibition areas.
At the next wire, there will be a spectacular world premiere. The trade fair is now expanding its portfolio to include end products. For the first time, the complete value creation chain in fastening elements and springs will be presented.
Think global. Act global.
Meet your business partners at the world’s most important trade fair for the wire and cable industry.
wire – a Success Story
Last edition, the key players of the wire and cable industries were on site presenting their machinery, equipment, raw materials, technologies and services to a global audience. Two thirds of the exhibiting companies came from abroad, and in terms of visitors wire Düsseldorf also counts as one of the most international events in the growing trade fair portfolio Metals and Flow Technologies.
Investment has gone up worldwide
Across Germany steel and metal processing counts among the ten mayor sectors of industry. These sectors are strongly characterised by SMEs, by traditional growth and innovation. But even major groups of companies are now re-aligning their operations, following digital optimisation processes and reorganising their distribution channels, both nationally and internationally.
Economic Prospects of Germany
Europe's largest economy continues to grow, and is thus on course for growth for the tenth time in succession, albeit recently at a much more moderate pace. Many uncertainties in the foreign trade environment are slowing the momentum noticeably. However, investments in the construction industry and in private consumption in particular are keeping the economy going. Inhabitants: 84,4 (2023 in Mio.)
