NEWCAST, international trade fair for precision casting, is the world's largest trade fair for highly innovative casting solutions for all industrial growth markets. Its range of applications extends from vehicle construction, the aerospace industry and mechanical and plant engineering to medical technology. The Bright World of Metals", the youngest of the metal trade fair quartet, was launched in 2003 and is enjoying steadily increasing popularity. It takes place together with GIFA, METEC and THERMPROCESS at the Düsseldorf Exhibition Centre. The trade fairs are accompanied by a high-calibre supporting programme with seminars, international congresses and lecture series.

International congresses, symposia and industry meetings are unique know-how platforms that bring theory and practice together and offer an excellent opportunity for networking and exchange. Over 2,000 exhibitors and around 78,000 visitors are expected.

New at NEWCAST

Wednesday belongs to the foundries, which will inform about innovations in the foundry industry and outline practical solutions for everyday foundry life at the NEWCAST Forum in Hall 13. The 26th of June will be rounded off with the NEWCAST Award for innovative castings.

Economic Prospects of Germany

Europe's largest economy continues to grow, and is thus on course for growth for the tenth time in succession, albeit recently at a much more moderate pace. Many uncertainties in the foreign trade environment are slowing the momentum noticeably. However, investments in the construction industry and in private consumption in particular are keeping the economy going.
