The international meeting place for the entire aluminum industry.
ALUMINIUM (Düsseldorf) is the world's leading trade fair for the aluminium industry and the B2B meeting place for its most important fields of application. Every two years it networks the global aluminium community: top-class buyers, manufacturers, processors and suppliers.
In 2018, participants from 123 nations travelled to Düsseldorf, and more than two thirds of the exhibiting companies came from abroad. Despite trade policy disputes, sanctions and isolated raw material bottlenecks, the production of and the demand for aluminium continues to grow worldwide.
ALUMINIUM 2020 will again be accompanied by an extensive supporting programme. It includes the ALUMINIUM Conference, which has been part of the fair for many years, the ALUMINIUM Forum, an innovation area, and various thematic tours. Top-class speakers and exhibitor lectures, special presentations and live demonstrations make ALUMINIUM the central trade event for the aluminium industry.
Why ALUMINIUM
Global heavyweight for the light metal
Around 1,000 exhibitors and 27,000 visitors from 100 nations are expected to attend the world's largest industry meeting. Last year, the exhibition area grew to 80,000 square metres - a record and a clear sign of the current dynamism in the aluminium industry.
New topics
In six exhibition halls, global players, specialists and young innovative companies present the complete range of the industry, from aluminium production to machines and plants for processing, semi-finished products, end products and recycling.
Focus on topics
In addition to the aluminium manufacturing and processing industry, the focus is on processes and product innovations for the most important aluminium application industries: automotive, mechanical engineering, construction, aerospace, electronics, packaging and rail transport.
Know-how in the specialist programme
ALUMINIUM is not only the world's most important trading centre for the industry, but also an important knowledge platform: In the ALUMINIUM Conference and the ALUMINIUM Forum, experts from industry and science speak about trends and innovations in industry.
Economic Prospects of Germany
Europe's largest economy continues to grow, and is thus on course for growth for the tenth time in succession, albeit recently at a much more moderate pace. Many uncertainties in the foreign trade environment are slowing the momentum noticeably. However, investments in the construction industry and in private consumption in particular are keeping the economy going. Inhabitants: 84,4 (2023 in Mio.)
